MOM DJs & Events is a family of  DJs, producers, musicians and music enthusiasts that all share a passion for the convergence of soul music and dancing. We perform at and produce weekly, monthly and special events across North America. From SF to NYC, LA to Austin, Honolulu and beyond. MOM DJs represent the most spirited soul parties with a unique vibration. We gather our musical inspiration from Motown, soul, funk and disco with an emphasis on new and classic remixes/edits. Many of these remixes are originals from the family of 60+ DJs and producers worldwide. MOM DJs have been hired to play massive festivals such as Outside Lands (Feat. Stevie Wonder, Metallica, Neil Young, Jack White … ), Treasure Island Music Fest.  (Feat. Girl Talk, Public Enemy, The Presets, SBTRKT, The XX … ), Fractalize 2012  (Feat. E 40 and 50+ EDM artists) regular appearances at music halls and dance clubs e.g. Club Mighty SF, 1015 Folsom, Public Works, Regency Ballroom and The Fillmore  to name a few.

What began as a humble Monday night Motown (and soul relatives) party in San Francisco (2009) has since  exploded into a multi -city Monday dance party across the states. Founder and resident DJ, Gordo Cabeza (Donovan Hall), and his partner DJ Timoteo Gigante (Tim Ryan), were inspired by the success of these events which led to our event production brand, MOM DJs & Events. This production brand places emphasis on quality of music and vibe over bottom line marketing. No matter where the party is we keep the spirits lifted and our hearts attuned! History

MOM SF is Motown inspired dance party which was conceived by DJ Gordo Cabeza in April of 2009, it was born of a desire to reconnect with the music that was often the soundtrack to his childhood. More importantly it was a chance to honor the people and music who helped raise him, especially his mother.

MOM SF, held every Monday, was joined soon afterwards by DJs Timoteo Gigante, Phleck, Matteo,U9LIFT and a host of other talented Bay Area DJs. It has evolved into a multi-city weekly event including MOM SF (San Francisco), MOM LA (Los Angeles) & MOM HNL (Honolulu) as well as being booked along side many main acts under the moniker MOM DJs at festivals and special events. This summer will mark the launch of three more U.S. locations, including NYC, CHI, DEN. Look for international lift offs in 2013. Check out videos of MOM events here: Videos

OneMama seeks to empower women, families, and communities around the World to be healthy, educated, and financially successful. Beginning with their pilot program in Uganda, OneMama connects volunteers with the community by providing all participants with a cooperative education.

Through OneMama’s mutually beneficial approach, members of the community learn about sustainable living and volunteers learn about a new culture, rich in tradition and wonder. OneMama’s mission extends far beyond the aim of ordinary philanthropic organizations. They understand that we are all connected.
